Teff is our latest equine product, grown and produced specifically for it's low NSC content.

 

It is suitable for all hay-consuming animals, that require a low NSC diet.

 

All Jones Hay TEFF feed-products are tested below 10% NSC prior to dispatch, with results available on request (batch specific & broad)

 

QUICK FACTS:

- Teff is believed to have originated in
Ethiopia between 4000 B.C. & 1000 B.C.
- One of the names it is known by is 'Summer LoveGrass'
- Our Teff hay & haylage is highly palatable - it is softer and finer than
ANY of our current 'fairy grass' bales that our clients know & love
- Teff is grown and produced to be low NSC, making it a suitable option for horses prone to metabolic disease & laminitis
- Can be utilised for horses with lower energy needs

- Teff grass is HYPOALLERGENIC, meaning no more itchy eyes/skin, hives or sneezes!

 

*ALL wrapped products are able to be stored outdoors until opened*

 

Feed tips for wrapped products:

1.) Keep animals (rats/horses/cows etc.) away from bales

2.) Do regular checks to ensure the plastic covering is not damaged

3.) Once opened (if not feeding all immediately), cover the exposed end TIGHTLY to avoid spoilage - less oxygen = less spoilage
